The Privacy Act 1988

Our obligation to you is that we comply with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) together with other applicable State and Territory privacy legislation. We take our obligations under the Privacy Act together with other applicable data protection laws seriously. Therefore, in addition to this statement, we also:

  • Maintain an internal privacy policy; and

  • Where appropriate, include terms in our engagement agreements with our clients that describe how we handle personal information during the delivery of our professional services.

This includes the obtaining of your consent for us to collect, use and disclose that information about you, your related entities, your employees or contractors.

We may also collect your personal contact details via our website. For example, if you sign up to receive tax update materials or are applying for employment with our firm.
